Everything else you need is provided on this webpage below.

Make your own Advent Wreath!

The Advent wreath is a time-honored tradition, helping bring focus to the different themes leading up to Christmas Day. It normally is a circular wreath made with greenery with 4 candles around the circle representing the 4 weeks before Christmas, and then 1 candle inside the circle representing Jesus Christ, which is only lit on Christmas Day
(some wreaths only have 4 candles).

For our Advent in a Box experience, you can use the paper wreath and tea light candles we provided, or you are welcome to purchase or make your own wreath! We shared some of our favorite tips and etsy shop finds below to help you out!

Amazon Options

Craft Pics & Tips

A few tips as you work through the weekly ornament crafts:

- For best results, especially with the sheep craft, use a hot glue gun. Amazon sells mini ones for under $6 here.

- Having this dilemma: only one ornament, but more than one child? Each box comes with supplies for 1 craft, but each craft has a supply list provided. Encourage your kids to work together to complete the craft, or get creative and find items in your home to make additional crafts as well!

- Not sure how they should look? Check out some pictures of the process in the Advent Guide, and feel free to get creative with your own ornaments!

Serving Opportunities

One of the best ways for your family to be intentional in this season is to place your focus on others around you (and not just on the gifts you will get on Christmas morning).

One opportunity that your family will hear about is by sponsoring a child and lifting them from poverty through the ministry called Compassion International. We will be hearing more about Compassion International throughout the Advent Season with an opportunity to choose a child to sponsor during our Christmas Celebration on Friday, December 13th or after service on Sunday, December 15th. Begin praying about how your family might take part in this incredible opportunity to lift a child from poverty and change their life. If you have any questions, reach out to Joanna Kitchener.
