Hey Parents!

During the 2022-2023 school year, our 4th and 5th graders will break off from regular Loop Kids for their own Preteen class! We will be using the Foundation Worldview curriculum titled "Studying the Bible." To learn more about this year-long course, click here

This year, your kids will learn how to study Scripture on their own. The year will be broken into 3 units of 10 lessons each:

Unit 1: Understand the Whole Story
Unit 2: Develop the Basic Skills
Unit 3: Correctly Read Each Genre

To take a look at the schedule along with the lesson topics that we will cover, click on the Curriculum Outline to the right.

When and where do we meet?
We will meet in Room 201 during regular Loop Kids on most Sundays (on some special weekends, we will join the rest of Elementary). We'll join the younger kids for worship but spend the rest of our time together in 201.

Will there be homework?
There are take home sheets each week that we will send home with your kids called Home Connection sheets. We encourage your kids to work through them as they will get the most out of the class if they complete them, but it will not be required. And if you really want to dive in, we challenge you as parents to do these Home Connection sheets WITH them! You can find them listed out by date to the right (because we know that they don't always make it home).

There are also some weeks where your kids will come home with follow-up assignments. Again, not required. But if your family has capacity and your kids have the time, it could help make a big difference in their understanding of the lessons as they engage with God's Word regularly. In fact, I'd encourage you to make this a part of their spiritual development at home.

Want this class to make the most impact in your kids' life?
If yes, then we hope that you make attendance a priority this year as the curriculum builds week after week, and we really believe this will be an impactful discipleship tool for your children as they learn to spend time in God's Word!
